The “Elephant Man,” a Chinese man, 31 years old, is set to have surgery to have the 33 pound tumor on his face removed. The surgery does have some serious risk, as the man has some major blood vessels running through the tumor, and faces the possibility of bleeding to death. The man has had the tumor since birth. Despite the risk, the man is ready to proceed with the procedure because the tumor has deformed his backbone, stunted his growth, and has grown too big to carry around any longer (anything smaller than 30 pounds is fine though?). Check out these pictures.
It will take a team of Doctors for the surgery.
I think that since he has waited 31 years, why remove it now? He could clean up if he would just join the circus. The man’s family also looks like they could be developing the same type of tumor on their faces as well. The whole family should join the circus.

ya know i would never wish this on anyone, but whoever the pathetic piece of shit John Q is, you need to grow up. and learn to watch what you say cause you never know how it could come back to bite you in the ass idiot. and why remove it now? first of all if you read up on it, the tumors didnt develope till he was 4, 2nd why dont you try having 33 pounds on each side of your face weighing it down, these tumors threaten his life and removing them may give him more time and most of all time that is more comfortable. I feel very sorry for him.i juz watched the discovery channel on him and can’t stop crying lookin at him been sufferin for his whole life,especially with the condition of his family.yes,the comment that they shud join a circus is very stupid and tat is mean.the surgery would definitely help him to live a better life even though we know he can never get a normal face.but tat would help him.i pray to God that He wil help him..

i watched the documentry about this man last night his family have suffered alot i know he had his first operation and hope when he has hia further surgery goes well his family deserve some luck and happiness
