The mortgage crisis is about to hit full throttle, and the brittle “house” of cards about to come crashing down on the US economy. The government is trying to rescue us by lowering interest rates and introducing a stimulus package to energize the economy. I feel that these efforts are not going to fix the root of the problem and things are going to get much much worse before there is any sign of a recovery. China Orders all Hotels to Provide Condoms
If you are planning on staying in a Chineese hotel in the near future, there might be some extra toiletries on your sink. The Chineese commerce and health ministries has issued a new regulation requiring condoms to be provided at all hotels, holiday resorts, and public showers. In addition to the condoms, they must also provide pamphlets about AIDS prevention to be displayed. Read more

Sushi Shortage may lead to Horse Sushi, Deer Sushi?
There is an international shortage of tuna that may very well ruin our sushi eating ways. Japan eats the most popular Bluefin Tuna, and consumes 60,000 tons a year, 75% of the world’s annual catch. The Bluefin just can grow quick enough. This has left Japan looking for alternatives in sushi dining, like using raw deer meat or Shergar, horsemeat. Read more
The Elephant Man of China.
The “Elephant Man,” a Chinese man, 31 years old, is set to have surgery to have the 33 pound tumor on his face removed. The surgery does have some serious risk, as the man has some major blood vessels running through the tumor, and faces the possibility of bleeding to death. The man has had the tumor since birth. Despite the risk, the man is ready to proceed with the procedure because the tumor has deformed his backbone, stunted his growth, and has grown too big to carry around any longer (anything smaller than 30 pounds is fine though?). Abductions in China are typical of everyday atrocities.
In Beijing, China, five babies were found in the back of a stolen car. Chinese police are baffled as to the identities of the children. The babies, three boys and two girls are approximately ten days old. Because of a surge in the population in China, families are only allowed the have one child, in larger cities. Read more

In the last ten months we have seen several major recalls including the massive Peanut Butter and Dog Food recalls. Recently, but less well known there has been a worldwide toothpaste recall. What started off as a recall in Costa Rica, seems to be spreading to recalls & bans in other countries as well.
