People will click on anything & everything! Get infected for free!

A computer researcher for anti-virus maker F-secure in Helsinki, Finland launched a search engine advertising campaign that read “Is your PC Virus Free? Get it Infected Here”. Of course there was no virus involved, it was a social experiment to see if people will really click on just about everything. More than 400 people clicked the Google Adwords ads over a 6-month period but of course there was no actual virus involved but it goes to show that some people are idiots.

   400 people over 6 months is nothing.. I would have clicked on it too if I saw it, after laughing, just to see what it really was and knowing I wouldn’t get infected. The study really doesn’t show anything.

   ha ha ha … omg … wow, it should have popped up with an offer to install free virus protection just because they clicked on the ad!
