There has been tons of hype surrounding the Apple Iphone during the past several months, but response as proven by the people standing in line outside the Apple stores is amazing. These people are waiting days in line for a fricken cell phone! The iPhone is really not a ground breaking product, but everyone seems to think it is. Sure, it's more than just a cell phone, it's also an Ipod and video player with Youtube support. But it amazes me to see that thousands and thousands of people across the country have nothing better to do than sit outside waiting till they go on sale.

Ok, so I'm obviously not a fan of the iPhone or Apple in general. I also don't see the need to go drooltastic over any product, whether it's the Xbox, Wii, Playstation, Iphone, Concert Tickets, Windows, etc… all of these products have had a shitload of people waiting in line, days before they became available… to buy … spend their money and waste days of time.

Yes, the iPhone looks pretty neat with its' scrolling touchscreen interface which I must admit is unique and stylish, but I've had several smartphones over the past couple of years that all had touchscreens, could play music and video, and do just about everything the iPhone can.

Unless you're selling your iPhone on Ebay for 5x what you paid for it, get a life folks, it's just not worth wasting your time over. It's a cell phone! The iPhone is just another fad targeting simple minded Americans.

Personally, I'll wait till there are no lines and there's a comparable product with higher download speeds, expandable memory, and better connectivity options.
