Elwood, ugly dog

Elwood was crowned the ugliest dog in Petaluma, California. Elwood certainly is ugly, to me, he looks like some sort of monster. Elwood’s owner Karen Quigley thinks, “he’s the cutest thing that ever lived.” Maybe she is blind. Elwood is 2 years old and lives in Sewell, New Jersey. He is part Chinese Crested and Chihuahua mix.

The annual ugly dog contest takes place at the Marin-Sonoma County Fair, in California. Last year Elwood placed second, but this year Elwood takes the grand prize of first place and $1000. Maybe Elwood’s owner Karen will opt for some plastic surgery for the poor ugly thing, or maybe stock up on large brown paper bags for his head.
